Constitutional Monarchy
Svarthaedir is a constitutional monarchy led by a sovereign monarch as head of state. While the monarch serves as the ceremonial figurehead, the executive and true power in Svarthaedir is held by the democratically elected President.

The Svartic Samkoma (Ingallish: Svartic Assembly) is a unicameral legislature consisting of 159 members. Representatives are elected through proportional representation for four-year terms. All citizens aged 18 and above have the right to vote.

In the next elections to be held in the summer 326, the current distribution of parliamentary seats among political parties after the last election (from left to right on the political spectrum) is:
- Association for Equality and Social Justice (AESJ) - 19 seats
Focus: Social justice, wealth redistribution, workers' rights - Social Democrat Party (SDP) - 22 seats
Focus: Social democracy, labor rights, environmental protection - Progressive Party (PP) - 81 seats
Focus: Centrism, agricultural interests, current governing party - People's Alliance (PA) - 7 seats
Focus: Rural development, traditional values - Independence Party (IP) - 19 seats
Focus: Free market economics, conservative values - Citizen's Party (CP) - 11 seats
Focus: Libertarian policies, reduced government intervention
Non-Parliamentary Political Parties
